The truth is it is not unusual to face a multitude of emotions when grieving. Although loss is an inevitable part of life, grief is one of the most painful feelings we will experience in our lives. How long does it take to Grieve?

Grief is not linear, and there is no ‘normal’ time frame for grief to occur. Grief can be unpredictable. It may be present immediately after the loss of a loved one, or can emerge many months or even years after your loss. Grief is not only associated with death – grief can arise as a result of the end of a relationship, a life-altering experience, or even the loss of one’s hopes and dreams. Mourning any form of loss can be difficult, confusing, and painful. Grief counselling can assist you to understand and process your experience in a gentle and informative way.
